Hope

Hope

It has been raining for six straight days.

Not constant rain, it breaks from time to time, but mostly it rains.

It’s cloudy every day, gloomy, and dreary.

It’s cold.

The sun has not showed itself in almost a week.

The once blooming flowers are drowning in the saturated, muddy soil.

The stark contrast of the greening leaves against the colorless gray sky is magnificent.  Amidst rising gasoline prices

and the constant threat of terrorism in our post 9/11 world,

spring offers us light.

Every spring brings the same hope to all of us.

This spring is no different.

Life has certainly been resurrected

to sow the seeds of faith, hope, and love in all of us.
