A Sacred Promise: The Joy of Faith and Hope

My second non-fiction memoir, A Sacred Promise: The Joy of Faith and Hope, is currently in the production stage of the publishing process.  I am so excited about this manuscript!  I am eager for the final product to become a reality because it is truly beautiful.  I couldn’t be happier with how the manuscript has come together.  It is the story of a spiritual journey and the miraculous work of God’s Hand in all of our lives.   The book details the events leading up to the conception of our twins, Faith and Hope, the long, stressful pregnancy, and finally the magnificent birth of new life.  The Foreword for the book is provided by Dr. Nicky Plementosh, Desiree’s OBGYN, the doctor who so intently helped bring these twins into the world against all odds.

There will be weekly updates on the production phase of the publishing process as well as a publication date on my Facebook Page, John P. Steltz-Author.   Click the link and ‘Like’ my page on Facebook or subscribe to this blog to stay updated as to the current status of my latest manuscript.

Enjoy the beautiful summer months!!

did you continue to go with Mill City Press? When you say you did your own promotions – what tips would you give your readers?

I have continued with Mill City Press. I have had some interest from traditional publishers with my latest manuscript but am extremely hesitant to the offers they have given me. This story reaches the depths of my soul and, for now, I want total control over the production phase of the book. I know that sounds really selfish and I may kick myself for it, but this manuscript literally originates from my heart.

My own promotions include building an online presence through blogging, Facebook, and Twitter, contacting local (statewide) bookstores for consignment opportunities and book signings. I am using MCP’s ‘full’ publishing package for this book which includes much wider distribution.

If you have further questions, don’t hesitate to ask. Thanks for the comment!
