Happy St. Valentine’s Day

Today is dedicated to the people my heart belongs to: Desiree, Brooklyn, Dawson, Faith, and Hope.  Desiree would be embarrassed if I wrote all of the special things it is I love about her most, so I will keep it simple and to the point.

The mother of my children has an infectious laugh that I could never, ever get enough of.  All is good when that laugh, as rich as chocolate cake, echoes through our home.  My children all hold a special piece of my heart.  The one thing I hope I can teach my children is to never shy away from telling each other that they love one another.  This has not always been one of my strengths with my parents and siblings.  Today I vow to work on that weakness from this Valentine’s Day forward.

If you are looking for some spiritual love today, my recommendation is to find the pages of the Gospel of John and/or Paul’s letters to the Corinthians…both in the New Testament of the Bible.

Share your heart with the people who have earned it.
